About Our Guild
The Guild celebrated 60 years in 2020. We have officers, committees, study groups, regular meetings and additional activities. Resources are available to borrow and sharing knowledge, expertise and interest is encouraged.
Our guild is a fiber arts centric guild full of members of all strengths. We enjoy learning from a variety of speakers about various fiber arts. Conveniently located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, members travel from many parts of West Michigan.
Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of September and the first Monday of every month October – June. Exceptions may occur in January moving date depending on holiday timing. Meetings are held at the Gerald R Ford Metro Lodge #97, located at 1753 Alpine Ave NW, Grand Rapids MI 49504. Guests are welcome to attend all regular meetings and may attend two meetings before joining. We meet for socializing and Show N Tell at 6:30 with the regular meeting starting with speaker from 7:00 until around 8:30 pm. We usually have guest speakers at all meetings except September, December, and June as those are potluck and special programs for the guild.
We begin our meetings with “show & tell” time where members can share their completed projects. Refreshments are usually served (except during Covid restrictions). We encourage members to help with set up and take down before and after each meeting.
Guests
Guests are welcome to visit our guild for two meetings free of charge or obligation to join.
We request that guests sign the guest book so we may track and welcome our guests. Guests usually are not added to our email list for newsletters but may request a copy.
